I believe (not sure) that 2-way SMS will be available on the Unicom IS95 networks (as it is on their GSM networks).

EMS has already been added to the cdma2000 Revision A (IMT-2000) standard which will probably be published as v6 by the end of this month (if synch channel resolved which it appears it will be).

MMS standards work is FINALLY started for cdma2000 Revision C:
