Elmer- Looks like that reality check isn't working very well.

Here's the reality. 2001 was the worst recession ever for the semiconductor industry. The perfect situation for cash-rich Intel to crush AMD. Well what happened? AMD will turn a small profit in 2001 and will gain market share. Damage inflicted by mighty Intel? None.

I think business schools will be talking about this amazingly poor performance by Intel for years to come.

You guys also seem to conveniently "forget" about 50Million+ chips other than MPs made in Intel's fabs each quarter.

Considering that most these "other" things that INTC does has never in recent history turned a profit, maybe they need to stop doing these other things and focus on MP's.
