It's been awhile since calculus class, but I think the integral of 1/x is the natural logarithm of x plus an arbitrary constant while the integral of e**x is e**x plus an arbitrary constant (assuming e is the irrational number 2.7 who's dirivitive is itself - a rather circular definition). I have forgotten what this is supposed to be relevant to, recent topics have been global warming or SDI and I don't recall the connection of logarithms to either.
