We are bouncing against extreme valuations, and the turnips have reserved the 2388 top for later. Right now looks just right for the local top.

CNBC Nonsense -- see below

In a lame attempt to explain the afternoon selloff, CNBC quoted veteran floor trader Art Cashin as saying something to the effect that news regarding discussion of extending the war on terrorism into Iraq had been flashed on the trading board at about the time the selloff occurred. Talk about nonsense. This merely illustrates how an "explanation" can be manufactured for any action or reaction in the market. It also illustrates why technical analysis, which is impartial and unconcerned with external news, etc., is important in making investment decisions.
