Kemble,

Re: IBM

IBM also say on Tuesday that its outsourcing its NetVista line....NOT to DELL. Guess this does away with all the hopes/dreams/rumors of DELL building IBM's PCs.

Looks like this non-direct path IBM is beginning to take shouts to the truth of MSD's statement some time ago, "There's a BIG difference in actually being direct than just saying your company is going direct."

First was in response to E.Pfeiffer saying CPQ would eat into DELL's direct sales by going direct; recently in response to IBM when they pulled PC's off the shelves to "go direct".

Cheers,
Gary
