what is an acceptable burst speed for transmitting the occasional low-res photo (color) to a cellphone (taken with one of the built-in digital cameras)? i don't think people would need more than that for some time.

edit: oh, i almost forgot. there could be oodles of people that want to download the latest gilder report to their handset -g-.

... and for the audio side there is XMF (commercialized now) which compresses audio into files about 100 times smaller than MP3 ...
