Overall no, but I would be surprised if there was not some small product lines that they did not lose money on. I can't see how they have made money on the Itanium considering how low sales have been. Of course its possible they will make all the money back and more with sales of later generation IA64 chips.

Good point but I think the majority of the money losing efforts never make it to product announcements. IPF is a product and certainly hasn't turned a profit yet but hopefully it will.

I wonder how many projects like this are ongoing at Intel.
