Hi Russ. A year & a half, eh?

Not that I'm impatient, but the kids have to eat occasionally.<g>

All kidding aside, don't know if I'm the only poster on the board who trades for a living with no other day job to provide income. But supporting a family from "working the markets" does give you a different perspective. I really enjoy balancing the pressure to produce with the patience to wait for good opportunities as well as to let them appreciate as far as market conditions will allow once I'm in them.

Although I'm certainly not a day trader or even a very short term player, I do find it necessary to look for opportunities that produce some gains and/or income almost every month.

Actually I like holding positions for 1-7 month Intermediate Term runs. But I have to be practical and take what the market is offering in the way of holding periods. Although the patch boom in 1999 and most of 2000 gave me many overlapping multi-month holding periods in my favorite stocks, last years market did not. So I had to adjust my style to holds of a few weeks to a month in most cases to get optimum returns.

Congrats on you junior explorers in the precious metals.

My fav junior explorers in NG and small cap oil service plays tend to fall in the 2 to 10 US$ range. You might want to take a look at HOFF in offshore services. NR is a good one t4texas has come up with. I just bot a partial position there on the pullback today.

Best regards,
