Scott, I should have put a qualifier or two into my statement about 2nd and 3rd tier stocks outperforming the large caps. I should have pointed out that the 2nd and 3rd tier stocks occupy locations throughout any list, all the way from the top to the bottom. Depending on the time frame selected, different results are obtained. As you point out, SFAM is at the bottom of the list on post #1591, but it is at the top of the list on post #1584.

My statements were too broad about the smaller stocks in general. I really had my eye primarily on LTXX and PHTN who are way out in front over the period of 10/8/98 through yesterday's close as shown in post #1591. Good stock picking is required to wind up with the right small cap, over the right time period, to be at the top of the list.
