You brought up something I too have been thinking about alot lately now with my job on the line etc etc.. NYSE stocks.. You can do much larger allocations, and so much more controllable.. IM slowly going to start just using the nasdaq for stocks say like MWAV where I gotta GOTTA learn to go long term on, and start trading with NYSE stocks.. problem is for the last 5 or so years all I know is Nasdaq.. occasional ill long or short MSFT or GE, or go long some obscure NYSE stock but man its a whole different ballgame.. and a safer one too : )

Nasdaq upgrade/downgrade can move a stock 5 points.. NYSE your lucky if you see a 1/2 point move which makes it alot easier to sleep at night..
