I gave up reading minds. Mostly what you get is paranoia and a blank page. Most people have disgusting minds. When you have two mind readers in the same room they are both disgusted at each others disgusting thoughts. Then there is the after reaction about who has the right to be more disgusted. So they get in a huff about who is the most uppitty-up and refuse to read each other's minds. But of course that is impossible so they just sit there and fume and fume and get more and more at odds. Finally you get mind wars. Throwing evil thoughts at each other is far more effective than punching and kicking, so they just think worse and worse and worse until one of them gives in and becomes a zombie robot slave of the other. I think the hippies had an expression for it. Hitler managed to do it to an entire nation. One of the strangest incidents I witnessed was when a female mind reader slapped a male mind reader for refusing to mentally undress her. Apparently the exposure to the rawness of human thought on a constant basis develops a completely new set of standards.

The Greeks dealt with the issue of making the valuable things common with the Legend of Midas. They made it a curse. Of all the commodities, wisdom is the most valuable. If one possess sufficient quantities of it, it becomes an addiction, as more and more is needed it keep from being frustrated at the futility of being wise in a world of evil fools. Perhaps that is why JC said love your enemy. You really have little choice.

So why is water free, food cheap, and diamonds worth a life?

Why does Einstein's wisdom get imparted free, and the bricklayer makes 40 dollars per hour?
