OT/re: HUI

ODB -- if you didn't mark the top, perhaps this did:

08:03 ET SSB on US Mkt : Salomon Smith Barney downgrades US Mkt rating to UNDERWEIGHT from Overweight, as Europe and emerging mkts offer better value and have similar or more upside. Specifically, the firm underweights Pharma, Chemicals, and Software (downgraded to UNDERWEIGHT from Overweight), and overweights Financials, Media, Telecoms, and Metals & Mining. Sees stock returns as more modest than in previous recoveries.

I don't agree ODB. The small specs are long the metal, and there are more gold bulls around than I can remember in some time.

I have been calling this HUI rally a 'b' and I'll stick with it. Its pushing the limits here but I am still looking for another swing low in that index.

But like I've also been saying, I may be left at the alter here.

Here a fork on the XAU. If we take out the redline on the extended downward fork then we will push much higher IMO.

The green upward forks mid tine is sitting just above. If we break above it, we will ride up the mid tine IMO.

Chart is 60min time frame but use the 30min link...

I'm seeing lots of folks saying: "no time to chase this one here", wait for the inevitable pullback
