Tench, I think the 'droids don't boast about AMD unjustifiably ( well, some do ). None of the 'bees ever gave any credit to the Athlon until the P4 came along. The people who knew that the Athlon was for real had to defend it and what it represented ( an alternative to over-priced under performing cpus produced by Intc - I know I bought enough of them ). Before the 'bees had the P4 and with it the possibility that Intel made something that could possibly beat the Athlon, most of them had summarily dismissed the Athlon as a clone hyped up CPU. That's all I am going to say. C
