"Fighting breast cancer is very noble.

Be informed."

Fighting breast cancer isn't noble for me, it's a way of life. My mother died of breast cancer when I was ten years old and my sister died of inflammatory breast cancer two years ago. I am a bilateral breast cancer survivor of eight and ten years. I survived the disease, at least partly, because of early diagnosis which is truly one's best defense. Not only did I survive, but I managed to survive with minimal surgery so I was able to avoid mastectomies.

Even if a treatment increases your life expectancy by 10%, when your life is in that 10%, it's 100% to you.

I debated with myself as to how to respond to your post, but since you are all men who are probably related to women , I decided to put this information on this thread. One in eight women will be affected by breast cancer so chances are that someone in your life will contract the dreaded disease.

Early diagnosis saves lives...........it saved mine and it helped me avoid extensive surgery. There are many factors that affect mammogram accuracy and ultimately survival. Many of those factors can't be controlled. Age is of particular importance because of the type of breast tissue that exists in younger women. It is harder for radiologists to detect the cancer in pre-menopausal women because of the density of adipose ( fat ) calls.

I have walked though this disease four times and I have been working in the field of medical research for many years so I understand the science and medicine. I am not here to discuss breast cancer, but thought it may help anyone reading this thread if they understand that mammography does save lives. When it's your life it saves, it's quite significant.

I STRONGLY recommend that you all make sure that the women in your lives get their mammograms........or should I say "only the ones you hope will stay alive."

Now..back to politics........and by the way one of the articles you referenced did state that it is was an opinion! LOL

Ps......cancer didn't stop me so neither will Snake, Jallen or Taggart!!
