The Egyptians, Jordanians, and Palestinians can use it. The Israelis have a higher standard of living than most of the world, due in part to their colonial nature. The Israelis do have a Western democracy and Western mores (for example, they don't keep half their population barefoot and pregnant) and a Western economy. Naturally any country with these advantages is going to prosper more than a Third World autocratic kleptocracy. Is this what you mean by "their colonial nature"? I can only hope that the Arab states wise up and acquire a colonial nature too, otherwise they are going to have a dismal time in this century.
