ST trading: It seems that amat, mxim and other semis are not going down. I have started accumulating
bought 1000 amat 45.99, 500 mxim 56.95. Will keep adding for each point drop.

kdavy, OT *** brainstorming

To me this thread is 'home' where I can float ideas, halfbaked or not, and not be called an idiot. :) Since I do a little ST trading now, my biggest challenge is to ignore additional profits I could have had. Some of these trades are even in my IRA account, which requires no tax related paper work. I have my eye on CPQ calls, since arbitrage between HWP and CPQ is still large and I think the merger will happen. Jerome first suggested buying April CPQ calls to me and that trade was very successful. Thanks Jerome.:)

BTW, OSX is down to 82 and I follow it for a sign to enter oil service again. During the first half of 2001 oil service stocks kept my portfolio from losses that were too large.

I'm just observing today.
