Bob: I saw that. And it seems to be occurring with greater frequency with many stocks. One way of dealing with this is to scale down your stops; that is, if the appropriate stop point is say, 14.00 (and you can be sure that the MM's and the sharpies know where the stops tend to get bunched) you might place 1/4 of your position at 14.00, 1/4 at 13.88, 1/4 at 13.77 etc.....The risk here is that if all your stops get hit your loss is somewhat larger than you wanted. Conversely, you've given yourself a better chance to remain in the stock, or most of it. I prefer this tactic.
