Sounds like PCS is planning to launch a no glitch 1x nationwide network. All 3G.

My pet peaves about speeds and launch dates are:

1. Folks here and in the press should always be clear on what they are talking about. Most often articles complain about actual data rates "not being what was promised with the peak rate", which is stupid. After the network is up and running you find out what average throughput is. BTW, according this weeks Forbes, GPRS ave is 20kbs maxing around 28kps.

2. Launch dates, there is obviously a huge diffeerence between an entire network launch and "specifc areas". We can all argue but it doesn't matter if services are only available in spcific ares. When will the Euro carriers have nationwide WCDMA, 2010?

3. 3G is 144kbs peak. That's the bar, even though its been lowered. Quti moaning and get there.

Gonna be interesting when the barrage of Sprint ads hit the market in the summer, The only all digital, all 3G netowrk.
