16:10 ET Onyx Software (ONXS) 4.38 +0.13 (+3.1%): Announces guidance for Q4 of an operating loss "that approaches but does not reach breakeven", vs consensus est of ($0.01); revs are expected to be $19.1-$19.3 mln, above consensus of $18.9 mln.

16:10 ET Rational Sftwr (RATL) 22.17 +0.33: -- Update -- Reports Q3 (Dec) earnings of $0.07 per share, $0.01 better than the Multex consensus of $0.06; revenues fell 21% year/year to $170.2 mln vs the $167.3 mln consensus.

I guess some employers would have waited till after Xmas before laying people off as well.
