AFTER HOURS TONE & BUY: RFMD @19.34...I rarely buy after hours, so this is a bit riskier than I like, but the stock is strong after hours. RMBS news was very good after the bell, upgrades today to LSI and other downtroden stocks, and extremely postive tone from the CFO of RFMD. Of course, excellent CRUS news and movement the last couple days and upgrades to VTSS as well. It feels like the SOX wants to break up and out over 600 after two failed attempts. Ditto the NAZ once it closes above 2100 on heavy volume.

The other reason is that the after hours tone is quite good and we could get a pop tomorrow and next week, as I believe earnings and even guidance will continue to be above expectations in general. I don't often sell a position out before the close and buy back after at a higher level, but the relatively good earnings after hours and news today in the chip sector makes me feel like it is a better risk now than it was at 3:59 pm EST. Plus the SOX has pulled back enough to perhaps give others the feeling that it is worth investing on the long side again.

The chart of RFMD shows a wide range as this is a stock that often does well for traders if you buy below 20 and sell near 23-28, depending on the overall sector and market strength and your risk tolerance. Do your own DD.
