LOL....nothing I wrote about putting hundreds of thousands of dollars into a landlord's pocket was designed to tempt anyone into becoming a landlord.

I've been tempted to become one from time to time, but then I remember my early real estate training, where a property manager came to speak to the class about this field of work.

I distinctly recall the story about the townhouse where someone had brought their motorcycle into the living room to change the oil on the carpet, shortly before stiffing the landlord on the rent.

And then there's that old story about the lovely but disgruntled tenants who pour cement into the toilets before they skip town.
