To change the Start menu settings

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
Click the Advanced tab.
In Start Menu Settings, select or clear (remove) the program you want to turn on or off. This will keep it from being in your start menu but the program will still be on your computer and we can fix it later.

Go to Start/settings/control panel/add-remove programs and highlight spinner and remove it.
