Considering RR's comments on the subject (which included physical threats to RR & his family, plus damage to personal property, etc. by union folk) Perhaps all you saw were the words saying stuff about threatening phone calls, etc. What I saw was the picture of some coal miner laborer who spends his entire day down in some sort of mine shaft eating and breathing coal dust and God only knows what else, and then watching some of his fellow workers either get hurt, become sick, or die working in those conditions. Then this working stiff finds out that someone wants to take food off of his table. Some guy in a suit from out of town is telling him he makes too much money or whatever. I can understand why someone would would be angry enough to make a threatening phone call. No, I'm not saying the poor bastard is right doing that. But I can understand why he has a pent up frustration at someone like that. He knows the money the union buster takes away from him will go into that fancy suit pocket and then head back to what ever state he came from. I'm not judging anyone in that profession. I'm not saying what they're doing is terrible. I'm not even saying that the circumstances were like what I just described. I just saw it differently and perhaps someone else besides myself did also. Fighting the unions is all part of business and I understand that. However, my heart does not go out to the guy getting the phone calls as much it does to the guy with black lung who just got another cut in his benefits or paycheck. So when you asked why no one responded to Bonnie's attempt to point it out, or lash back at her, I gave that as a possible reason. It was one of mine. Had it been a direct personal attack like blatantly calling RR an a-hole, everyone would have probably told her to shut up and stop causing trouble. -ClappyTheScab
