Disney to cut half of ABC Family work force

LOS ANGELES, Jan 10 (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS - news) will cut about 300 jobs -- or half the work force -- at its newly acquired ABC Family cable network, as Disney integrates the channel with its other TV properties, a source familiar with the situation said on Thursday.
