Stockman Scott:There is a device called Crestron which allows control of all your devices (VCR-CD-TV-DVCD-etc) from any location it works with radio waves and it works very nicely-I own one and have owned one for about three years-"the PC centiric world will happen with the new portable pad IMO."

I think you have this nailed. Ultimately there will be no need to buy fully stand alone systems for disparate recording and entertainment functions. Things such as tuners may only exist as software. It makes tons of sense.
