I used it tonight to pick up my girlfriend at the airport. The flight status feature is awesome. Just type in the flight number, pick the airline and walah, scheduled and actual departure, arrival and gate #s through Sabre.

That feature has saved me a ton of time over the last two years...

Another feature I thought of while making the drive back from New Orleans to Chicago was a BREW based application in which GPS figures out your location on the highway....you simply put in the direction you are traveling. It then returns the next couple of exits and lets you know what fast-food restaurants, gas stations and hotels are going to be available.

My friends and I were in the mood for Arby's and were trying to figure out if we should keep driving or simply stop at one of the million Mcdonalds. We kept driving and finally found one after about 50 miles <g>.

Definitely not a killer app....but one of the many useful applications that a mobile phone could be used for.

Caxton,

You can also find movie times, theatres, driving directions, etc. etc. etc.

And you have a 3G phone?

Let me ask you something seriously, how many people do you suppose use their wireless phone as a data appliance?
