...and, last but not least, the state acts as a political church of sorts, holding its citizenry spellbound with its patriotic exhortations. The point being there is corruption in any political system and it has nothing to do with the tag capitalism or communism. The only benefit of capitalism is that citizens can to a large degree make their own decisions without being pushed around by the State apparatus. However, thanks to our great desire to join hands with the European backwaters that we escaped from that is changing to.
