ADC Telecommunications is selling one of its five properties in
the Valley Green Business Park in Shakopee to consolidate its
manufacturing and office space.

The company has taken several cost-cutting measures in the
past year, including selling some of its non-core businesses and
cutting its work force from 22,500 a year ago to 12,000 at the
end of October. Based in Eden Prairie, ADC has about 3,100
employees in Minnesota.

ADC will consolidate office and manufacturing operations into
two facilities in the business park that it owns -- a
360,000-square-foot building and a 316,000-square-foot
building. The property for sale is a 490,000-square-foot
facility on 106 acres. The site will be marketed nationally.

ADC also plans to sublease an 106,000-square-foot property
in the Valley Oaks Business Center and an
120,000-square-foot office and distribution warehouse space
at 1087 Park Place.

Minneapolis-based Colliers Towle Real Estate is the broker for
these transactions. ADC's former Minnetonka headquarters
also is for sale.

I just thought I'd tell you that I saw a going out of biz ad for Antwerp Jewelers in W. Bloomfield, Mi. I think once you said you come here to buy out inventories. I think they said everything 70% off.

Sarmad,

Thank you for letting me know. There have been so many retail jewelers liquidating I have been able to keep up with them. This years liquidation target for me will be Service Merchandise.

By the way, yesterday I made my first book purchase at Amazon.com. They had the best price on a $75 book.

I don't know what to say<G> I found out yesterday that my wife bought some gift certificates for the holidays for a niece and nephew at Amazon. Something to do with toys. It is almost causing a divorce and the day is still young.
