More smear, pile on while the real culprits slink away. Jeffrey Skilling is misguided. So what to do? Reform Harvard Business School? Doing so would prevent Enrons of the future? Jeffrey cashed out pretty well. Was this the cause of the collapse? The cause of the crash was the downgrade. If ENE had been losing money with execs cashing out, that would make all the smearing well justified. But ENE was still making money and was still profitable even after the $600M adjustment to profits. The smearing and scoundrelizing of ENE execs miss the mark.
