hate the new Taurus -- we have those for pool cars at work -- there is more leg and elbow room in a Honda Civic -- visibility is good, but some of the engineers should have sat down in one before they decided on that design

I think the "Exploder" got a bad rep. from the Firestone tire problem. Deserved or not?
I never felt comfortable with the explanations by Ford or Firestone FWIW.

sorry, didn't even know there was such a thing as the Ford Focus. never even considered buying American, except for my '65 Mustang ragtop that is.

as far as "design" goes, if TL & EV comes then consumers desire for "design" will likely be relegated a relic of the roaring '90s and we will go back to being much more utilitarian in our buying, a la the 1970s-1980s. i sure hope it doesn't happen, but i'm somehow doubting that Newbury Kitchens is going to be full of clowns like me buying sub-zero fridges, bosch dishwashers and hand-made italian cabinets when the money's all gone.

btw, your restaurant is beautiful (in addition to the good food).

Cheers
