Oldtader,

I don't always assume (maybe I should) that a rise in OBV will precede a move in the equity price. Dell has moved up the past 3 weeks, and with resistance at around 30 a non confirmation might be occurring where the stock price moved before, or is moving with OBV. This is why I'm not closing any Jan 30 CC's yet; but am not selling any more contracts for Frbruary. I do look at open interest as a general indicator of where stock price might close for the expiration. Many times the strike with the most open interest has been where price has been driven to on expiration. Don't know if there is any technical reason for this.
Cheers,
kaka
