Arrow Head: If i remember correctly, the last two splits (1997 and 1999), both were twofor one splits. The price got close to $200 beofre theyh announced at the January board meeting and approved at the May stockholders meeting. By the way that has always been the case with IBM's split actions. You may be correct that they may go ahead with a three for two or fove for four splits if the price should go up to $140 or so.
