Thanx for reprinting that speech.

There's a different perspective one could take about Sept 11, and I think I do. Which is that it put in a true double bottom for us, whereas before we had been drifting downward precipitously. And now we have begun to recover. We may still see layoffs for a while, but they are not a consequence of 9/11. Its possible 9/11 was good for our economy & America--not that 9/11 itself wasn't the worst tragedy imaginable. But we became unified after that & regained energy & momentum and began to appreciate daily life.
