Yes, indeed, check the large Jewish population in Damascus, Syria, which has resisted the continuous pressure from Zionists that they emigrate to Israel. By all means, don't rely on the opinion of the Jewish reporter from 60 Minutes who went there to do a story of Jewish persecution, and ended up doing a story on the lack thereof. While you are in Damascus, you can check out the villages that Israeli fighter jets bombed in April 1967, and remember that Israel claimed that its storming of the Golan Heights a short while later was self-defense against unprovoked Syrian attacks.
