Both IBM and Gateway USED TO sell AThWiper-based PCs - but they found they couldn't make money on them - despite their cheaper cost - due to their instabilities, incompatabilities and resultant humongous support costs. That's what they learned. And they also learned that Intel is the BEST CPU supplier. SOI process still in the toilet at AMD?
