Hi Kemble, By saying what he said, AG may be implying that more rate cuts are on the way. I.E. the economy still could use some more stimulus in that regard. Interesting how bullish ML has become on DELL of late! Knowing how cynical the OldTrader is of ML, this must mean that they are trying to rotate their big customers into DELL and then make it move for them. Size isn't everything though. Today's news was that ML is laying off 9,000 people in the US. Ouch! Before Christmas they sold off their Canadian retail brokerage division to CIBC Wood Gundy. This makes the second time that they have entered and then exited Canada. The excuse that they used this time was that there were not enough "wealthy" Canadians to make it worth their while. Well, maybe they should have made some Canadians wealthy then they'd have had a client base! Maybe they should have recommended DELL years ago instead of touting CPQ. And finally, not much snow here!
