Do I think that Nokia will try to reinvent the wheel and then try to go after the nearly 100 companies that opwv has already licensed it's software to? They can try it, but I don't think they will any more than Dell will try to put it's own OS on their systems and try to compete with msft or even try to reinvent linux. Some things are more cost effective to license.

Uptrending economy? The question is how quickly and robustly we'll recover. I think if the economy improves, the banks will have less concerns over problem loans, more investment banking and more trading commissions if they have any brokerage business and probably more business in estate and financial planning.

Banks make money on the spread in interest rates. If rates rise, they still make money. JPM pays a dividend higher than a bank cd. I'm writing calls on the stock when it rallies as I do with some of my stocks. Sometimes I get stocks called away, and that's fine with me. I can always find something to buy with the proceeds.
