One funny story of a American doing business in the Middle East has a exec politely sitting on the floor during a meeting. First he makes the mistake of showing the bottom of his feet while sitting on the floor. Next, he makes the blunder of handing a contract to the Muslim with his left hand which completely ruins the whole deal.
