14:08 ET Sonus Networks (SONS) 5.72 +0.36 (+6.7%): -- Update -- Trading floors attributing rally in SONS shares to renewed talk of a Cisco bid for the company. This particular rumor has been rampant since early-Dec, sparked by Pacific Crest speculation that CSCO will need to make acquisitions to further penetrate the SP market.




13:42 ET Sonus Networks (SONS) 5.50 +0.14 (+2.6%): Issue sprints out to a fresh session high, on a surge in volume.



13:24 ET Video Game Earnings Preview : Banc of America Sec previews sector earnings. Firm believes ERTS (-2.2%) will likely exceed B of A's Q3 est. of $0.90 by at least 10 cents (consensus $0.89); sees ATVI (-2%) exceeding its $0.58 est by 2 cents (consensus $0.58); believes THQI (-4.2%) will meet consensus of $1.08. Until TTWO (-1.6%) reports and provides further clarity on its restatements, firm's estimates remain under review.




13:06 ET Network Appliance (NTAP) 20.18 -2.37 (-10.5%): -- Update -- Stock continues to experience heavy sell pressure following latest insider trading disclosures (see 10:30 comment). While several insiders sold stock in December, the sales attracting attention were those by CEO Daniel Warmenhoven (250,000 shares) and CFO Jeffry Allen (150,000 shares).
