And don't forget the fact that Ford is laying off 35,000. The major auto makers got a huge boost in auto sales from the zero percent financing, so one has to wonder why the lay-offs.

My bet is they simply did it to clear out inventory, but the result was either a loss or very little profits at best. Of course now that they've cannibalized sales for the next 6 months, sales should plummet. Perhaps they know this.
