Yes, of course it's turned off by default. They're not completely crazy. But the code is still there lurking, isn't it?

I do agree that it's a very good feature, especially for large corporate installations, although perhaps making its installation optional isn't too much to ask.

UNIX has had all kinds of different remote control capabilities for a long time. It's a Good Thing, as long as proper security measures are taken.

The really bad thing is giving browsers and e-mail programs the ability to interact with even the most vulnerable and important elements of the system.
