When you are going to do something as evil as dropping weapons of mass destruction on inhabitants of large cities, even in times of war, you should be absolutely certain that is the only reasonable alternative available.... You and the others supporting your position have not proved this was the case at all. On the contrary, it appears in retrospect the A-bombs were used rather cavalierly, and the Japanese people used as guinea pigs for our new terrible bombs. And no, the calculation civilian lives are worth more is definitely not overblown in any way, in fact, the opposite appears to be the case. I cannot compare burning alive a three, four or five year old innocent boy or girl with attacking military soldiers drafted or not, who at least have some weapons at their disposal, are probably dug in and have the knowledge and full awareness they could die at any time. No, the situation is not comparable at all. In my opinion, you value civilian lives far too lightly, so I am sincerely hoping you will someday see the error of your way of thinking and change accordingly. (no offense intended)
