Re:AMD shuttered their embedded division

AMD transitioned its embedded 486 customers to its 586 and higher products. It's embedded business continues to prosper.

Re: AMD shuttered their embedded division.

Kind of typical of you guys to focus on a small, break-even at best business to distract attention from the fact that, in 3 years, AMD has gone from building CPUs to fit into other architectures to being the designer and builder of the second best selling chipset/motherboard architecture in the world.

In the same time period, Intel has lost its position as number one chipset supplier, and lost its position (to AMD, which wasn't in the business 3 years ago!) as leader of the industry's memory specification and on-board interconnect specification.
