It might be profitable for some

Taking on the combined weight of the USA military and civilian authorities has to be a dumb move.

So drugs do OK, but that's only because they are illegal yet used and abused by a large section of the USA population. Make them legal and all those drug runners and drug lords are toast.

Legal administered drugs here in the UK are very close. Some big shot Police Commissioners are in favour of it. Other Nations in Europe are leading the way.

THAT will change things imho. Big change. All sorts of crooks will disappear.

Easy to imagine both drugs and terrorism to be profitable, nothing new, many came up with that
before the 1980s.
