DalinDawg,

Those were good.

I never considered myself a cat person.
Always preferred dogs over cats.
Now I'm caught up somewhere in between, I guess.

This little cat that we got from the shelter this week has really amazed me.
At first it was really nervous and shy. It kept hiding on tight corners and under the bed.
I assume it was because the house was so big and strange compared to the 2x2 cage
she lived for 6 months.
Now the cat has figured out that this is her new home and has been very at ease.
We found out that the cat is a year old but to me looks like a big kitten.
Still very playful and curious and rather small in size.
It also does a few things that my dog does.
When I come home it comes running up to me.
Friday morning it woke me up in the morning and began licking my nose.
I found out that there is a big difference between a dog's big sloppy wet nose lick
and the clean warm lick on the nose from a cat.

We bought it a few toys from the pet store but it seems that it's favorite toy is a
rolled up piece of aluminum foil. She bats it all over the place.
She's also good at find missing pieces to my kids toys that are stuck under the beds
or behind the couch.

This cat sure is a lot of fun to play with.
It can't help but make me smile.

Our pooch seems to be fairly gentle with it too.
So far the dog hasn't tried to use it as a chew toy or anything.
Actually our dog is so blind that it probably thinks it's a puppy...
