We didn't capitulate to Russia or China, during the cold war, and the world is a lot safer now because of American sacrifices and courage, and strong military. << sounds more like WW3. >> Are you suggesting that we should abandon NATO and our military, so that we can avoid WW3? Should we give in to all terrorist demands, in the hopes that we will avoid further conflict? What is your suggestion for avoiding WW3?

"At the Israel-Egypt border near Rafah, soldiers destroyed a tunnel used to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip." Up to this point it has only been a war against Israel by the Palestinians. Now, Israel is defending itself. Peace, through strength and overwhelming force, is the only answer to Palestinian terrorism. God speed Israeli tanks and bulldozers! (Hmmmm!? Perhaps we should add F-14s to the mix! <g>)
