I'll be getting a few of these Libertades coins in a few days - plata.com.mx ... my wife coming back from México, i asked her to go to Elektra and get a couple dozen of them, give the majority as presents for friends and family, and bring back a few ... fifty-five pesos apparently, not too bad a price, don't know if IVA is added on [IVA = GST in canehjun/kiwi, VAT in brit] ... but this guy Salinas Price is really promoting the use of silver as money, and he is a serious dude, founded Elektra as it is now, its ADRs are listed on New York as ekt i believe ... he has a fair bit in english on his site - plata.com.mx ... but not the basic mission statement, called La Propuesta, or 'the proposal' ... definitely a silver bug, with a reasonably high profile in the country ... more than a few older people remember when the peso was an ounce of silver, and it lives on in mythology, considered muy mexicana la plata
