I know the article you are talking about but I can't find it either. Basically, the accounting change is going to boost earnings big time via goodwill write off acceleration.

I did however find the actual accounting change write up here.......

The accounting change is also being included in a lot of individual company stock releases this quarter. I just read one telecom 10Q that admitted the change was going to boost their earnings next quarter from 15 cents to about 38 cents. WOW!!! I can see the idiots on CNBC now, earnings are doubling so these stocks deserve PE ratios of 987, Buy Buy Buy!
