Both very good posts Chris. I like rctrader2's gapper posts and their timing as well. Not all of them gap the next day but a good majority do to some extent.

I've said for years, the first 20-40 minutes after the open are for SELLING not buying. Morning gappers ALWAYS shake down, or sell off...many turn around and run again, sometimes numerous times during the same day, if the volumes and interest are there, and it's "in play".

But generally those buying on the open are either going to get shaken out, scared out, or otherwise burned.

I laugh every time I see someone post "I'm buying xxxx at the open tomorrow." and I'd be willing to bet that most of those saying that, are doing the exact opposite.
