according to intel's data sheet the Northwood was introduced at 2 and 2.2.

Once again Dan, not true. There is a low power datasheet as well.

The only argument you may have had but you chose not to use ( and instead resorted to name calling ) is that the tail end of the .13 process bins the same as the high end of the older .18 process which makes sense to me.

This is startling news to you? Upon introduction the lowend of a new process overlaps the highend of the fully mature old process in terms of frequency binning? I didn't realize the obvious needed explaining. I'll file that for future reference.

The point is that you said Intel was "disguising" some of their NorthWood product line, implying deceit. The only deceit here is on your part, that's why you are on a par with Dan.

Gottfried, I've built one of those too. I just upgraded it to a 1Ghz Tbird running XP. It now needs to be reset 2-3 times to boot. I downloaded the latest bios ( december ). Still no luck. That's why I am looking for a new board.
